Risk Control Surveyor
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Car Allowance
Location: West Midlands

Our client is a specialist provider of Risk Management Services and is currently looking for an experienced Risk Control Surveyor to carry out Risk Surveys to Businesses throughout West Midlands. You will be responsible for undertaking risk surveys within the operational areas and completing reports, together with risk improvements for submission to Underwriters.

Responsibilities

Provide a risk control survey service to the business in accordance with Company philosophy and within prescribed service standards
Surveys undertaken comprise a wide range of manufacturing, commercial, distribution and leisure trades of varying size
Survey activities also include an element of work on a fee earning basis for third party insurers
The role is home based but with the expectation that the candidate will work closely with the regional office to develop the business and maintain the professional reputation of the company with brokers and insured's
Working with the remainder of the risk control team and other departments to maintain technical knowledge and standards within the business
Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, including Claims, Underwriting and Sales teams, when required

Skills

Solid experience within property and liability surveying, with sound knowledge of a broad range of manufacturing trades and processes
Hold recognised professional qualifications such as CIP/ACII/AIRM/NEBOSH Cert
Knowledge of Business interruption assessments and business continuity techniques
