What’s involved with this role:
To provide a professional solution focused HR service across the Council, including delivery of a recruitment service, involvement with grievance, disciplinary and redeployment matters, along with providing advice and guidance on employment legislation and Council policies.
To provide day to day supervision of identified staff within the HR team.

Graduate CIPD essential
Minimum of 2 years recent post-qualification HR experience, preferably within a similar role and ideally within a public sector organisation
Must be able to demonstrate experience in the different disciplines within HR i.e. examples of casework, Disciplinary, Grievances, Change Management, Absence, Recruitment, Advise on all terms & conditions and policy & procedures, Supervisory Experience
Microsoft Office skills

Anticipated Length of Assignment: All of our roles are designated temporary, though in practice we find that the vast majority of them get extended on a multiple/long term basis. This one is expected to be for 1 month, initially.
Hours per week: 22.20 Monday – Friday, within normal working hours
