Compliance Manager, Midlands. Our client is one of the best known brands in the UK and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Manager to work in the Midlands.  You will be provided with a Company Car and as this job is field based, you must to be willing to travel to around the Midlands and Hampshire.

THE ROLE
The Compliance Manager defines and manages the ongoing compliance of our clients’ Home Emergency business.  Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring that the service is delivered to time, quality and cost, meeting all necessary legislative, regulatory and best practice requirements.  
* Managing the day-to-day operation of the Home Assist audit function including scheduled audits of both the engineers and external suppliers in order to deliver an excellent service to customers and to protect the brand.  
* Providing advice, guidance and technical support on all compliance related information.

MAIN DUTIES
As Compliance Manager you will:
* Ensure business compliance with all existing gas safety guidance and regulation (including Health, Safety and Environment).
* Review impending legislation, regulatory and best practice (gas, HS&E). Assess the impact on the business and plan for compliance.
* Be responsible for an audit programme covering gas repair and service work for Home Assist Engineers and the Contractor network. Objective of the programme is to identify gas safety related issues and any individual or group training needs.
* Source and deliver any required training covering Home Emergency Service trades.
* Audit Home Assist patrols for all issues relating to HS&E and quality service.
* Set up and maintain a library of all necessary compliance, reference and technical data. This should exist physically in Oldbury and digitally where possible on Home Assist Patrol’s AADIS units.
* Develop and agree detailed corrective action plans to ensure ongoing compliance and business improvements with HES engineers and supply chain.
* Communicate the progress and status of compliance to the Quality Manager and senior management as part of steering groups as and when appropriate / required.
* Seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Home Assist business and operation.
* Investigate serious incidents which relate to HES compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The role of Compliance Manager requires:
* A good understanding of legislation and best practice as well as in depth understanding and experience the Home emergency industry
* The ability to demonstrate an expert understanding of gas, electrical, water and building regulations and legislation
* Experience of Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements for Home Emergency industry
* Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH certificate or be TechIOSH or equivalent
* Proven operational experience and a working knowledge of the gas, plumbing and electrical industry.
