My client is a provider specialising in property, liability and motor insurance protection for businesses throughout the UK. Due to continued growth they are now seeking a Development Underwriter with some managerial skills and experience.

The role will include:
Underwriting, servicing and negotiating complex risks throughout the annual cycle.
Building and maintaining business relationships.
Working at all times in accordance with agreed Practices and processes.
You will need excellent communication skills as the majority of your time will be spent visiting Brokers to develop new and existing relationships. Additionally to this you will be required to assist the regional manager to drive the business forward.
Your work load will be varied and interesting and will range from medium sized premiums to large international exposures.

Experience:
ACII Qualification is desirable.
You will need extensive knowledge and understanding of the commercial insurance market. Along with knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance and a high level of communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
