| CAD Operator required for this office based role, reporting to the Projects and Engineering Manager. 3D CAD Engineer is responsible for development of systems designs from schematics, data sheets, equipment details and guidance drawings working 3D models and subsequently to 2D drawings in full manufacturing detail. This is an opportunity to work for a company specialising in the design and manufacture of offsite-built packaged plant solutions predominantly for the building services industry, who work with most of the M&E contractors. On the job training will be provided. Key skills: CAD Solidworks (or similar) experience is preferable Experience of M&E Building Services design or similar (industrial services, plant / piping layouts, petro-chem, etc) Mechanical bias. Principle Responsibilities include: Production of Solidworks 3D models from initial conceptual designs. Maintenance of drawing register and CAD filing system. Maintenance and updating of 3D part library. Issuing of drawings in accordance with company QA system. Key Tasks include: Accurate and on time completion of models and drawings. Preparation of 2D Auto CAD and 3D drawings. Preparation of detailed fabrication sketches, BOM, weight calcs and production info. Liaison with production team to produce as fitted drawings. Developing the 3D model library.
