| Overview Capita are seeking to recruit on behalf of their clients, suitable Social Worker Assistants who will work to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and promote their upbringing by their families by the provision of services This is a full-time temporary ongoing contract. Main duties In your role as Social Work Assistant within a children and families team, you will be responsible for: *Engage with children and young people *Identify and assess the developmental progress of children and young people *Plan, implement and evaluate the outcomes of social work interventions *Develop effective working partnerships with those with parental responsibility *Contribute to the delivery of services to support the parenting task *Work with children and young persons networks and communities to achieve optimal outcomes *Contribute to the development of local child care policy and practice The successful Social Work Assistant will also: *Have sound understanding of Child Protection and Health and Safety issues. *Have Previous experience in a similar setting *Have excellent communication skills. *Hold a current enhanced CRB document that contains no information deeming you unsuitable for social care work. *Be able to provide at least two satisfactory references, *Provide evidence of eligibility to work in the U.K. Key skills To qualify for this Social Work Assistants role: *Have a current enhanced CRB document that contains no information deeming you unsuitable for social care work. *have evidence of eligibility to work in the U.K *be able to provide at least two satisfactory references *Have good written and analytical skills *Ability to represent the views and wishes of service users *Ability to practise in a non-oppressive manner *Ability to implement relevant procedures *Good organisational skills *Ability to make judgements supported by sound evidence |
