Full Description:

Overview
A residential social worker is required to work in various children's homes for a local authority based in the West Midlands.
You will be working within a care environment for children in care; experience of dealing with challenging behaviour/ disabilities is advantageous.

This is a Full-Time temporary ongoing contract.

Main duties
In your role as Residential social worker within children's services, you will be responsible for:
*Ensuring house rules are adhered to.
*Resolving any problems that may arise.
*Completing any domestic tasks identified.
*Interacting with service users where required

The successful Residential social worker will also:
*Have sound understanding of Child Protection and Health and Safety issues.
*Have Previous experience in a similar setting
*Have excellent communication skills.
*Restraint training would be advantageous

Key skills
To qualify for this Residential Social Worker within Children's services, you will need to:

*Have a current enhanced CRB document that contains no information deeming you unsuitable for social care work.
*have evidence of eligibility to work in the U.K
*be able to provide at least two satisfactory references
