    World leading bank is looking to recruit an experienced Area Director in the Birmingham patch:

    The role:
    To lead, manage and coach to achieve and exceed objectives across a variety of areas.
    By providing leadership, direction, motivation, coaching and support to team members you will maximise business performance and ensure that relationships with our customers are strengthened.

    Requirements


    - Drive and exceed balance sheet growth targets
    - Develop and lead a top performing team within a specific geographic location
    - Understand and be part of the local Business Banking market to achieve high customer satisfaction
    - Build both own and Bank's profile in the local market, to drive acquisition and support market share growth
    - Proactive risk management
    - Responsible for a portfolio including high profile and complex relationships
    - Exceed challenging financial and acquisition targets, through the effective management of the Relationship Management populations
    - Support Relationship Managers in building local relationships, align team and own activity with local Business partners to drive business growth to exceptional levels
    - Establish and support relationship building at a local level including between Relationship Managers, our peers across Business Banking, customers and introducers
    - Establish effective working relationships with key internal customers, for instance to be highly respected by credit to add value to deals
    - Maintain overall quality of risk and controls to agreed standards
    - Actively maintain and update knowledge of group products, changes in the business marketplace and feedback on changes in competitor activity
    - Manage for exceptional performance a team of Relationship Managers
    - Undertake regular field visits to see how relationship managers interface with customers, coaching and mentoring individuals using your experience to enhance their performance
    - Be known and approachable for staff, business partners, customers, introducers and the local business community in general
    - Recruit, select and develop people to work in Business Banking
    - Actively respond to feedback, local market and competitor insights and update where appropriate
    - Engage, motivate and inspire staff at all levels through effective communication
    - Live and breath the Business Banking customer values
    - Attend marketing and networking events to build individual and bank presence in the local community
    - Encourage the team to network extensively to raise the profile in the local market
    - Take active approach to know top customers and prospects to grow market share and income, and make best use of the brand for their needs Responsibilities

    Financial
