Housing Options Manager required to work for a housing association in the Derbyshire area. To post holder will be required to lead and develop the Housing options service, ensuring the best possible use of housing stock and resources, minimising vacancies and rent loss through proactive management. To lead and develop a proactive service that offers comprehensive advice and support about the full range of available housing options.To manage Service Level Agreements and Service contracts for the provision of services and support to other agencies by developing and maintaining relationships with external partners. Lead and develop a continuously improving service that is based on the assessed needs of our customers and that reduces the risk of homelessness or tenancy failure. Implement, develop and manage the Home Options Choice Based Lettings scheme to provide a wide range of information and support for applicants, partners and other agencies about vacant properties.
Candidates must have full or part housing or marketing qualification. Good standard of general education with 4 GCSE at grade 'c' or equivalent including Maths and English. Experience of managing a team providing services direct to a diverse customer group. Experience and understanding of providing services and advice to people in housing need. Knowledge of current Homelessness legislation and the Code of Guidance. Knowledge and understanding of housing supply and demand issues. Knowledge of Choice Based Lettings. Knowledge of property or other marketing techniques. Experience, knowledge and understanding of working with vulnerable clients
