We are looking for a Team Manager in Children's Services, based in Wolverhampton, to manage a team of social workers and social care staff who are part of an integrated locality team.
You will be responsible for the provision of services to children and young people, ensuring that staff formulate, agree and monitor the service of care plans for children & young people in need of protection.
Duties
In your role as Team Manager - Children's Services, you will be responsible for:
* Recruiting, managing and supervising a range of staff to ensure the effective operation of the team.
* To implement service strategy and performance management processes.
* Providing annual reviews, involving setting team objectives, targets and areas of improvement.
* To act as a member of the management team, attending meetings and contributing to decision/policy making.
* To effectively chair a variety of meetings, conferences and reviews as and when required.
Skills:
For this Team Manager - Children's Services role you will be required to:
* Embrace change and adapt to ever changing environments
* Demonstrate current knowledge and understanding of child protection and relevant legislation.
* Demonstrate excellent management skills and impressive experience of inter-agency working.
* Good communication skills inc. verbal, written, negotiation and role modelling
* Registered with the GSCC
* Social Work Qualification (DIPSW or Equivalent)
* Valid CRB
