| My client is one of the Regions Major conferencing venues, with over 80 conference and meeting rooms to accommodate functions of all sizes, along with over 1,000 beds for residential delegates. We are currently seeking to recruit a Revenue Manager on a six month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave. The purpose of your role will be t maximise revenue and profit through pro-active selling and commercial management techniques for Conference Aston. To create a working environment to support revenue management and maximise use of available resources in order to generate income stream. Key tasks will include: To be responsible for and to: *ensure commercial management techniques and availability controls are applied to maximise revenues, using effective management tools that supports the marketing plan. *ensure a clear sales strategy is in place for each level of demand and market segment is communicated throughout the department. *to constantly review Turn away Business/frustrated demand to ensure the Business on the Books is the most profitable. *forecast potential sales and costs and analyse, evaluate and explain any financial variance against budget. *Report and analyse all room revenue and business trends and production results. *ensure the department operates with a sales attitude and all personnel are aware of sales opportunities within Conference Aston, which will assist, with the maximisation of revenues. *through consistent use of Best Practice, maintain high quality information\ client needs which are distributed to all other departments. *to monitor and share revenue trends to support revenue driving/maximising actions. This includes forecasts, channel delivery, pace, market segments, Turn Down, Spend PAR and all conference measures e.g. occupancy, conversion statistics etc. *To actively penetrate and manage top producers resulting in confirmed sales, contributing to the total profitability of the total revenue. Ensure marketing plans are produced for top producers to monitor and review any shortfall \ growth. *To respond positively to sales opportunities and identify and establish potential new accounts, whilst continuing to develop and expand current accounts. In order to succeed in this role you will need to have experience in the management of residential hospitality facilities and strong revenue management experience. You will be managing the sales team so should also have experience in managing sales people. We are able to offer a salary of £22,000 - £27,000 pro rata, dependant on experience.
