This client is looking for an experienced commercial manager to look after their northern and midlands area. You will be working for a major player within the construction market and will be expected to bring with you good & valid experience whilst being able to drive the company forward.
To fulfil the role you must be able to conduct and build on the following:-
Primary Objectives
Provide commercial support to the Regional Operations Director
Ensure the businesses financial standards are maintained for the region
Develop and maintain rigorous control measures
Regional audit function, manage and control the WIP for each Branch within the region
Set up systems to measure – Performance, Targets, Trends etc.
Develop/agree overall budget for the branches in the region including task orders, GMP’s, AGMP’s etc.
Agree invoicing process with client
Ensure minimum Capital Employed levels for the business
Accurate projections and monthly accounts
Ensure all weekly, monthly and annual targets are met
Maximise recovery of fixed and variable percentages
Manage the Subcontract Order Management System within guidelines
Ensure all branch allocations are monitored and processed by month end
Identify, manage and communicate any commercial risks to the Operations Director at the earliest opportunity.
Monitor contract margins
Motivate and assist in developing branch staff
Operate a high level of control
Supporting Priorities
Consider group interest first, business unit interest second and branch interest third.
Provide high level support to the senior management team
Final accounts to be certified and agreed prior to month end
Have ownership of and work with the Operations Director towards achieving the annual budget.
Ensure full compliance with the business standards
Provide data to enable the Operations Director to provide accurate monthly financial reporting
Work closely with the accounting team
