JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Post Holder will be responsible for contract compliance, tendering procedures, and the negotiation, procurement and monitoring of the supply chain contract services for this client.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Supply Chain policy, and develop and implement the Supply Chain procedure
2. Select & evaluate subcontractors & suppliers
3. Monitor & measure subcontractor performance
4. Develop good working relationships with both internal customers and subcontractors Identify, evaluate and report on potential business partners and preferred subcontractors
5. Identify and negotiate, when sanctioned, pre-tender deals
6. Identify, formulate and issue enquiries
7. Contribute to the formulation & implementation of action plans to resolve areas of conflict between subcontractors and this client
8. Close out subcontract documentation
9. Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager when necessary
10. Visit work sites across the UK as necessary in the performance of the above duties
11. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post.
