Our client comprises specialist service groups dedicated to Infrastructure and Utilities, specialising in Water, Highway Design and Supervision, Highway Operation and Maintenance, Bridges and Civils, Rail, Network Communications and Mobile Communications. They are now looking to extend our Water team and are actively seeking Senior Engineers to join their team in Birmingham.
Your principal role will be day to day project management and hands-on design to deliver projects to technical review. You can expect to be active on a number of projects/client accounts at any given time. You will be supported by a team of experienced technical staff of various grades. The position will report to an Associate.
You will currently be working as an Engineer/Senior Engineer within a consultancy, contractor, water company or regulator wit a knowledge of modelling (infoworks/ Microdrainage or similar). A working knowledge of the water sector is essential, with rail, highway and infrastructure drainage experience beneficial. You will need to have good written and spoken communication skills including report writing, and be comfortable dealing with both clients and staff of all levels. You will be BSc/BEng qualified. Working towards Chartered Engineer status and membership of a relevant institution (e.g MICE, MICIWEM).
