• To focus on delivering value and advance this clients position as a leading provider of integrated highway services.Senior Valuation Surveyor – Flexible Location, £35-40K
· The provision of accurate measurement advice and assistance, cost control and settlement of final accounts.
· The timely agreement of negotiated rates, and accurate monthly forecasting.
· Managing all aspects of financial control of managed works contracts, including value engineering, estimating, negotiating prices, identifying and agreeing the value of additional works, interim valuations, and the production and management of contractual documentation relating to the managed works contracts.
· Provide cost advice to facilitate the value management of individual schemes during early contractor involvement.
· Management of staff - Advise and motivate staff ensuring that functions are satisfactorily performed and arrangements made for appropriate training where necessary.
· QS Related degree or other recognised qualification or equivalent practical work experience.
· Background experience in Civil Engineering and Highways.
· Previous Team Leader experience.
· A pro-active, self motivated Team Leader who has good communication and accuracy skills.
