This client specialises in providing civil engineering support to large and small projects in the Three Counties and surrounding area. It's a job they've been doing proudly for over fifty years, working for both the public and private sector. Although they are a relatively small company, their staff is well skilled across the entire spectrum of civil engineering trades. A highly trained foreman leads each of their project teams and has many years' experience in the industry and most of this clients personnel have been with the Company for ten years or more. The Company is managed by a small team of very experienced engineers who in their time have all worked for national contractors on major roads, motorways and other heavy civil engineering projects.

Estimating Role / Accountabilities
Responsible to: Managing Director
The main responsibility for this role is the financial control of individual projects including the estimating of all necessary sub-contractors at the most competitive prices, presentation and agreement of interim and final accounts for subcontractors and the client. Contract values £1200 to £4m
Duties and Responsibilities include:
This client require a Senior Estimator with a good grounding in Civil engineering and a proven track record in estimating. Knowledge of civil and groundworks projects values ranging from £1,200 upto £2million. You must be dedicated and proactive in your approach to work and willing to grow with a company and drive Walsh Construction forward. You will require a sound knowledge of methods of measurement and conditions of contract.
The Person
The successful candidate would be required to be self-motivated and to meet regular deadlines. It is essential that you have good communications skills, knowledge of Estimating procedures, legislation and relevant experience in building/construction.
You will have the empowerment to manage your own projects and to develop your own portfolio. So a sense of prioritisation and commercial awareness is a must.
