| The development of this business requires a structured focus to address the changing and increasing requirements of their customers and legislation in the areas of energy and carbon management. Having an existing relationship in this area with the Facilities contract, our client is now seeking to enhance the profile and capability they can offer to their client through their existing energy management team and its associated process and technical capabilities from their Central Engineering Design Department. The Energy Manager for the contract is a key role within the contract commitment to the client. Structure: The Energy Manager will be functionally responsible to the Energy Duty Holder via the Energy Approved Persons Controller. The Energy Manager will be expected to act as the local Energy Approved Person (APE) functionally reporting to CEDD and operationally reporting to the local site Facilities Services Manager. However, a close co-ordination/reporting activity will be required with the Energy Development Manager to communicate, develop and implement energy related activities at the site. Key aims and objectives Maintain accurate records on energy consumption and costs Enable the client to control their energy and water consumption, CO2 emissions and costs by providing high quality reports and through effective communication. Provide the client with costed energy studies with associated implementation plans Ensure continued legislative compliance Co-ordinate with the Central Engineering Design Department to develop and implement energy related activities at the site. Improve operating efficiency of plant and buildings by auditing BMS configuration settings Create awareness amongst all staff with regards to the envrionmental impact of energy use and waste Implement the client and company Energy Policy. The post holder should be a Corporate Member of the Institute of Energy or hold a similar professional qualification with extensive and successful experience in Energy in a large premises or installation. |
