Full Description:
Our clients are designers and manufacturer of roll tooling and associated equipment / machinery for the metal forming industries. A vacancy has arisen for an Engineering Estimator, based in Wednesfield, West Midlands. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be involved in the processing of customer enquiries; including estimating prices and preparation of quotations.


The main duties include the following:
-Preparation of estimates and quotations for roll tooling, machined parts and projects.
-Negotiation with suppliers / subcontractors.
-Assisting in purchasing of materials and subcontract sourcing on larger projects
-Co-ordinate and liaise with in-house production functions, suppliers and specialist sub-contractors.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
-An industry applicable ONC or similar qualifications
-Machine shop experience and / or knowledge of machining processes including CNC machining; conventional turning / milling; and conventional turning / milling; grinding; drilling etc
-Computer literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft packages,
-Self motivation.
-Be able to organize your’s and others’ workloads.
-A good communicator.
