Our Clients are designers and manufacturers of roll tooling and associated machinery and equipment for the metal forming industries. A vacancy has arisen for a Design Engineer, based in Wednesfield. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful applicant will complement our existing team of engineers. The Job ·Provide design support for our existing range of products ·Design and detail new tooling and machinery using your own Knowledge and experience ·Liaise with customers, both in the UK and abroad. ·Interact with other departments to help with the smooth flow of work ·Prepare technical specifications to be used in the preparation of quotations The ideal qualifications/experience ·Time served Mechanical Engineer or a good knowledge of machine shop practice ·HNC/degree level in mechanical engineering ·Experience in the tube or section rolling industries would be an advantage ·2D &3D CAD (AutoCAD & Inventor) ·MS Office – in particular Excel & Access The Person ·A conscientious and flexible attitude to work ·Successful communicator with overlapping disciplines e.g. Manufacturing and fitting departments ·Prepared to travel worldwide, (when required) ·Full European driving license ·Current UK passport |
