| My client is a FTSE 250 financial services provider with 4000 UK staff serving over 1 million customers a year. They specialise in the non standard consumer finance market, providing financial services for consumers who may not have access to mainstream finance, due to perceived weaknesses in their credit records. We are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader to join the local office. In this role you will be working in a part of the organisation which provides relatively small loans to weekly paid customers. You will be managing a team of agents who deal with their customer face to face on a weekly basis, in the customers own homes. You will manage your agents to achieve targets in terms of new business, repeat business and on time repayments, whilst also ensuring that they are at all times working with the principles of "treating customers fairly". To succeed in this role you will probably need to have previous financial services experience. You will definitely need to have experience of leading a team and have very strong customer service skills and target focus. You will also need a full driving licence. We are able to offer a basic starting salary of £15k, rising to £16 on completion of probation, a fully expensed car, bonus of up to 44% of basic salary, paid monthly, 25 days holiday, life assurance, pension, share save scheme and employee assistance scheme. You will also deal with high value customer yourself, making appointments to visit them in their homes to discuss their financial situations and requirements. In order to succeed you should be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a team in a target focused environment. You should be comfortable dealing with customers face to face and should be happy working to deadlines. Although you may have some financial services experience more important is your customer focus and ability to lead a team by example.
