Job profile:

As a Metallographer in the Science & Technology department, you will be working on project activities (with international metallurgical standards NEN, DIN, ISO, ASTM, GOST, JIS) in accordance to agreed requirements and deadlines operate advanced equipment with appropriate technology, so that results become available in report format for the Project Leaders.

As a team member in interdisciplinary projects, you will contribute to the integration of technology development into our products and business by providing your expertise to the divisions and to ERC. Also you will build and grow an international network, as well as external network with suppliers and third parties. The activities are aimed at performing investigations on metallic and non-metallic materials as well as developing new metallographic techniques applicable to our client.


Your profile:

·You have general metallographic knowledge.
·Your have general proficiency with sample preparation and electrochemical etching.
·You have experience with optical and electron microscopy and the associated image analysis.
·You have knowledge on dilatometry, mechanical testing and NDT.
·Quality and failure analysis experience is a plus.
·Experience with fully automatic (programmable) sample preparation for state of the art facilities is a plus.
·You are a self-motivated, pro-active team worker. You are customer-focused and result oriented.
·You have good communication skills and you can express yourself in English.
·You are creative enough to solve technical problems.
·You are willing to travel when necessary.
