Job Description
Our client is looking for a permanent skilled press Toolmaker in Hockley Birmingham
You will repair and maintain multi-stage progression press tools. This involves examining the parts and the tools to determine what caused the problem and preventing this from happening again.
This is a very secure job in a domestic Toolroom and you need to be able to problem solve.
You will work Monday to Thursday. If you work Friday or Saturday it is considered overtime and is paid at 1.5.
Over the last 20 year our company has placed Toolmakers, Setters and other skilled staff in permanent jobs at this company in Hockley.
The company has a low turnover of staff and they have an excellent reputation.
The company has invested heavily and has one of the most modern press shops in Europe. This includes the Toolroom.
Duties:
- Repairing press tools
- Analysis tool problems in production
- Management of the tool tryout process
Skills required
- Apprentice trained Toolmaker
- Worked for a notable press working company in domestic Toolroom repairing progression tools
Hours
- The company works from Monday to Thursday from 6.45am until 4.30pm
- If you work Friday then you are paid at time and a half
Overtime
- Overtime is paid after 39 hours at 1.5 for Friday and Saturdays
- It is double time for Sundays
- It is not a requirement to do overtime however there is normally 6 hrs plus available each week
We are looking to start the successful candidate in February.
