Job Description
My Government client requires an experienced Communications Officer/Manager to work in the West Midlands on a 3 month + contract.
As a result, the position of Communications Officer has been identified to take the lead in the development and implementation of a Communications Strategy and to establish the governance, best practice processes and tools to support the effective delivery of communications material between IS and its stakeholder communities.
To develop and own the IS Communications Strategy
To develop a supporting Communications Plans and establish the governance framework and supporting processes and management systems required to deliver effective communications
To develop and implement a new set of IS Communications principles and standards
To scope and lead the development of the new IS Intranet
To act as the IS representative with other Communications functions
To advise, produce and lead with the development and implementation of IS strategic level communications
To provide Quality Control/Assurance in the development of pre-defined communications
To plan all major IS communications events
To maintain an overview of ALL IS communications activities and products
Essential Skills/Experience:
Demonstrable hands-on experience of developing and executing departmental wide Communications strategies, plans, processes and tools
Good project management skills
Excellent problem-solving, planning, communications and report writing skills
