Job Description
Operations Engineer required for a large and well established business within the Environmental sector.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To co-ordinate the day to day Operations function of the main Energy Recovery Facility and associated Clinical Waste Incinerator. To monitor the performance and efficiency of the plant and to assist with Clinical Incinerator and auxillary plant maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assist in planning and supervision of planned maintenance outages on the CWI and ERF, including specification of work, quality control and co-ordination between all parties involved.
Assist in preparing of site operations and CWI maintenance budgets and work within approved budgets
Operation of the planned maintenance system, including work planning, co-ordination and plant history for routine tasks and statutory requirements.
Undertake plant efficiency investigations and reviews to purpose changes as appropriate to optimise operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be an apprentice trained Engineer / Technician, ideally qualified to HNC or Degree standard in a relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline, however extensive relevant experience will be considered.
You will have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in Operations or performance in a supervisory role within a process industry, preferable gained in a Clinical, Biomass or Waste Incineration or in Power Generation or a Petro/Chemical environment.
You will be enthusiastic and a competent problem solver with a practical approach to engineering problems.
