Job Description
Power Generation Engineer
Advantage Technical\'s client based in the West Midlands recognises the need to add technical and management skills in order to service a strongly expanding client portfolio.
We are seeking an experienced individual in the role of combustion and boiler engineering/process mechanical power engineer to provide technical and engineering advice to clients in support of power generation project development, procurement and construction.
This is a project engineering role and ideally requires knowledge and experience of whole project life cycle through strategy, planning, development, engineering, procurement, implementation, operation & maintenance as well as decommissioning phases.
It is expected that the role will be part of a substantially client facing team, therefore a confident, professional, articulate individual is required. Strong interpersonal as well as communication skills are essential, including written, presentation and computer skills. An entrepreneurial approach and an enthusiasm for business development are also important.
Role
You will provide energy clients with high quality value through technical advice and project engineering support which may typically be required to support:
* Feasibility Studies
* Provision of technical specifications
* Delivery of new build projects
* Resolution of operational & maintenance issues
* Plant Performance Improvement
* Strong, consistent, honest and high quality client support working directly with past, current and future clients to support their needs while also developing strong client relationships and progressing business leads with clients.
Requirements
Candidates will ideally be degree and professionally qualified, possibly moving towards specialist postgraduate qualification and with demonstrated technical and commercial understanding of all aspects of large power generation and associated energy systems but in particular engineering design of combustion and boilers, flue gas treatment and steam water cycles.
Excellent communication skills are essential along with a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel to different locations in the UK and possibly overseas.
