Job Description

At least 12 months collections experience and be able to hit collection targets. You must be results driven and prepared to go that extra mile to ensure that your targets are met

The role requires the individual to have experience and a proven track record in recovering unsecured consumer debt.

The successful applicant will need to have good admin and letter writing skills.

In addition to recovering money from individuals by using the telephone and letter, they will also be required to speak to the clients directly to recommend further action where required. As part of the role will require the ability to make a sound recommendation based on the facts obtained (which may involve recommending legal action) a good knowledge of the legal process will be invaluable.

They will be responsible for loading certain accounts onto the system themselves to work and will therefore require a good attention to detail in addition to good keyboard skills.

It is essential that the successful applicant has the ability to work on their own initiative, demonstrating through their actions that they have what it takes to be trusted to both deliver results and drive the business forward.

It would be useful to have a good working knowledge of the OFT Debt Collection Guidance, Data Protection Act, & Section 40 of the Administration Of Justice Act.
