Capita Education Resourcing are looking for a Qualified Geography Teacher to work in one of our Birmingham urban secondary schools. This school is a designated specialist sports college and has been presented with the Artsmark Gold award, they have a very supportive environment for all staff throughout the school. It is a school which is dedicated on pushing pupils to improve the results within the school. The role requires an individual with excellent classroom management and a passion for driving pupils forward in their education, you will be able to teach Geography through to KS5.
The skills we require are:
* Qualified Teacher Status either PGCE or Cert Ed
* Excellent communication skills with both pupils and colleagues
* Must have at least 6 months experience working within UK schools
* Ability to motivate and inspire pupils in their education
* Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
* Strong Classroom Management
* Willingness to work as part of a team
Main duties will involve:
* Teaching Geography up to A Level
* Lesson planning, marking all work, get involved in departmental meetings and possibly act as a Form Tutor
* Communicate at all levels
* Participate in parents evenings
* Reporting in line with the schools procedures
