The Opportunity:
An opportunity has arisen with a global player in its chosen field of expertise at the regional head office based in South Birmingham. Today, their mission is to connect people with their world, everywhere they live and work, and do it better than anyone else.

The Role:
-Preparation and review of monthly analyses of results, and of all balance sheet accounts.
-Ensure that the monthly bookclose timetable is maintained.
-Review of journals for compliance with accounting policies and ISOA.
-Evaluation/reporting on risks/opportunities in balance sheets.
-Evaluation of ongoing capital requirements, and involvement in recapitalisation activities.
-To assist the Finance Managers in the EMEA wide group audit approach and to be responsible for the delivery of the EMEA wide approach.
-Build relationships with other departments to ensure an efficient flow of information.
-To deliver quality information to Tax group in order to support tax audits.
-To prepare and submit as required any other external financial reporting requests e.g. Government statistical surveys and returns.
-To act as the liaison, and provide information for, local Works Councils.
-To train junior staff.

The Correct Candidate:
-Holder of a recognised professional accounting qualification, preferably a Chartered Accountant with Big 4 training.
-Previous exposure to international financial reporting or audit process.
-Good written and oral communication skills.
