Vocational Tutor - Birmingham
Health and Social Care
Salary £19000 - £24000

Must be from Adult Care/Health and Social Care/Residential Home Background.

You will research and develop training sessions across all sites to meet learner need
The Job
• Supporting, planning, delivering and monitoring a bespoke 10 week centre based training programme for both accredited and non accredited courses such as First Aid, Infection Control, Moving and Handling, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and medication.
• Designing training interventions to support learners with in the Health and Social Care programme led delivery model.
• Monitoring learner progress through regular formal reviews and informal discussions throughout the programme
• In-depth knowledge and proven experience of the Health and Social Care industry is essential as is the confidence and expertise to motivate learners using diverse training methods and resources
• Experience in delivering Key Skills Application of Number and Communication portfolio and test preparation at level 1 and 2
• Undertaking learner mentoring, training and assessment in accordance with the NVQ and other accredited awarding bodies and knowledge of the technical certificate standards required for the Apprenticeship programme.
• Assessment and monitoring of individual learners to establish training and personal skill requirements
• Promoting and delivering designed training to enhance learners knowledge of Equality of Opportunity and Health and Safety.
• Maintain all relevant learner record files to ensure learning progress is recorded and relevant documents are updated for contract and audit purposes.
• Work to obtain agreed targets and outcomes of both candidate and contract


The Person
The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm to help and support along with a willingness to mentor and train our learners. A proven knowledge and experience of delivering and supporting learners to enable them to overcome any barriers to learning and the capability to deliver the support along with natural ability to adapting your teaching style to meet each individuals needs is essential. The successful candidate must have excellent time management, administration and report compiling skills and have the ability to and converse with all members of the Training and Assessment team they must also have experience and confidence in designing and professional delivery of a range of innovative, motivational training using a variety of medias.
