A large comprehensive school in the south of Birmingham is looking for a Qualified science teacher on a temporary basis, starting in January 2009 and finishing in July 2009. This is to teach general science up to KS4.
To be successful, you must be able to engage with students at every level of ability. You must be prepared to get fully involved in all elements of the teaching role, including; planning and marking.
It is also important that you are dynamic in your approach to teaching as well as possessing good classroom management.
Ideally, you should be fully qualified, having gained QTS by way of a PGCE, GTP, BEd or Degree with QTS, however candidates with proven teaching experience will be considered.
