To work in liaison with other senior officers responsible for the management of other housing initiatives across the City.
To proactively identify new mechanisms for funding investment in housing and regeneration and advise on the procurement of resources to ensure the continuing development of comprehensive strategies and to facilitate their programming and implementation.
To take a lead role in the development of strategic systems for the evaluation of housing needs within the City.
To provide clear, accurate and comprehensive advice on behalf of the Council on the development and co-ordination of the Corporate Housing Strategy and its submission to the Government Office for the North West.
To take responsibility for monitoring existing and developing new partnership opportunities with key stakeholders, in particular RSLs, the Housing Corporation and Government Department ensuring that these link into the Corporate Housing Strategy.
To advise on, and assist with, the co-ordination processes leading to the City Council's bid for resources.
To work effectively as the strategic member of the Housing Investment Options team, working with the Programme Manager, to ensure the delivery of HIO programme benefits.
To represent the City Council at meetings and other events in a professional manner
