An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tutor based in the Birmingham area. My client is a training provider working with a variety of schemes and initiatives such as NEAT alongside the local LSC. They now require qualified tutors to deliver a range of modules to young adults between the ages of 16-19 years of age that are not in education or employment. The role involves Basic Skills Training in Literacy and Numeracy. This role also offers travel within the UK.
The candidate must be PGCE or Cert Ed qualified or is currently working towards these qualifications and be specialised in delivering Literacy and Numeracy Modules in a classroom environment.
As part of your role you will carry out the following:
Carry out skills assessments
Discuss individual goals with students
Prepare teaching materials
Use a range of resources such as worksheets
Guiding and supporting learners
As a tutor you will also be expected to keep your skills up to date through continuing professional development (CPD).
You will be flexible with the following competencies

Have the ability to get on well with people of all ages and backgrounds and understand their needs

Creativity to devise appropriate, interesting and meaningful learning activities
