Our client is part of a global high technology group developing the manufacture and application of a range of high performance coatings for customers from all markets and industries. The company is a world leader in both low friction, dry lubricating coatings and coatings for the protection of components from atmospheric or chemical attack.
The company's UK division which operates from a modern purpose built coatings centre of Worcestershire requires an experienced Quality Manager to develop its successful range of coating products.
As Quality Manager you will report to the Division Manager and work closely with the division management team to ensure that the business maintains its lead in the market and continues to expand into new areas of activity.
As Quality Manager you will head a small team of technical personnel and be expected to drive improvements in quality performance throughout the operation as well as lead projects to deliver new coating products and processes.
As Quality Manager you will
• Ideally of graduate calibre with a chemistry or materials science related qualification
• Will have experience of working in either a technical coatings or advanced materials processing background
• Have first hand experience of modern quality management systems and methods relevant to both aerospace and ideally automotive industries
• Knowledge of the aerospace Nadcap quality standard would be advantageous
• Technically strong and analytical in approach you will also be a powerful communicator, have proven leadership skills and be able to demonstrate the drive needed to deliver improvement and change
• The position is a customer facing one and you should be confident in presenting in a commercial environment
